Breath Practices
Sometimes as adults we get our breath backwards, so just a reminder, when you inhale, notice your stomach expanding and when you exhale, notice your stomach constricting. If your stomach is doing the opposite, mindfully play with your body to try breath this way.
Below are a couple breath practices to consider trying out.
Lion’s Breath
Inhale deeply and notice your stomach expand
Exhale with your mouth open wide, an audible breath, and stick your tongue out
Box Breath
Inhale for 4
Hold for 4
Exhale for 4
Hold for 4
Bee’s Breath
Inhale deeply and notice your stomach expand
Exhale with your mouth closed and hum - enjoy the vibration!
Cooling Breath
Inhale with your lips slightly parted, tongue against your front teeth
Exhale with your mouth closed and tongue against the roof of your mouth
Sigh Breath
Inhale deeply and notice your stomach expand
Exhale with a deep sigh
Breathe away!
